Get to know the artist: 

First off, thank you for taking the time to view my artwork. A little bit about myself; my name is Billie Steiner, a local artist in the Ashwaubenon, Green Bay Area. In 2009 I was diagnosed with depression, adhd, BPF, and told  that I was Bi-Polar.  I would sketch, color, and paint to keep myself a afloat. My dad convinced me that my artwork was worth framing and possibly selling; which I tried doing, but I was so critical of my work, and I didn’t have enough confidence to keep pushing myself, I gave up. Then one day, a friend of mine told me to get going, do something. So, I did. I started painting my emotions into abstract art. I released my feelings. Not one painting is the same.I may have an idea of what I want to paint, but it never turns out that way. I say it’s my way to express my mental illness. You will see lines, circles, scribbles. My life is lines, circles, and scribbles., I would like to reach out to people that are struggling, and let them know Art is a wonderful way to show their emotions. Not everyone will like it, but if you do, that is what matters. Art is in the eye of the beholder.
